Hi I'm sorry for saying this, but I have decided to leave UG forever. I do enjoy this website, but it gave me trojians twice in a row. Also I have to pay attention to schoolwork and hang out with friends. I hope all my UG friends will remember me.
Right now I decided to add a skill on the guitar by tomorrow my favorite guitar technique: finger tapping. This skill I find useful because it's fun once you get used to it and it's something to do if you run out of ideas. I'm still working on the sweep-picking and right now I know maybe a few things on that technique. Thanks for reading this.
Now that the band was taken down a while ago, I need help starting my own band. I rather not go solo because there would be no vocals, rhythm (and drums), and other stuff in it. Some of the guitar players at my school aren't that great (P.S. Kyle, you're pretty good) so that is another issue. My one friend would, if he could, be in my band but he's already involved with gigs and crap. Does anyone have any tips for me so things could work out? Thanks.
Right now I have planned to save for a new guitar. It's an ESP MH-50 with tremolo (Floyd Rose). After I found what I wanted I decided to look if it's good enough. Turns out reviews were positive, above average. Next I went on Youtube to see anyone playing this guitar. The sound is just perfect. Obviously I'm heading for something cheap but at least it's reliable. The instrument has a basswood body with two ESP humbuckers, maple top, maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, a locking nut, 24 jumbo frets, and all that other cool shit it has. Before December I will recieve it and rock with it! See ya.
The band I made a while ago was, I think, disasterous. We made few songs, no gigs, and the members don't even practice. I asked if they would write songs and help out the band, but no success. The band simply fell apart so I decide to go by my own. Once in a while I might have someone involved with my solos. I wish I could form a band with other friends but I have to say, most of the students at my school that play guitar are rather posers (meaning they could play a song but denies to play it) and I have a friend that's already in a band so it doesn't really work out. Hopefully I could solve the issues. Thanks for reading.
Even though I have heavy metal bands listed as my favorites, my family is actually strict in music. My father says metal sucks ( it never had ), but my mother only allows metal bands with positive lyrics. It sucks. Any suggestions on any bands that you know that is hard rock or metal that has positive lyrics? She almost denied DragonForce .
Ever since yesterday I'm starting to learn to sweep pick. Some of you might be thinking "wow, this noob is dumb" or something like that, but I was never introduced to this kind of technique. I was looking at this guy's profile and his playing's a killer. He said underneath his videos that he was using the skill "sweep picking". Dragonforce also had that which gave me notice to it. So now, I started and I kind f suck, but I'm building up slowly. If you have any help for me so I can improve on it, please tell me either on this blog or on p.m.
