Your post on the amp article is a complete fail. The choices of amps does not cater to Dave_Mc's personal tastes at all. You are upset because you own a Marshall MG and a cheap B.C. Rich. You fail good sir.....

I went to see them about a week ago in my home town of wrexham, and I've gotta say it was a tremendously poor performance. They didn't even play their instruments for feck's sake!

The first time I saw them play (about 2 years ago) they were pretty good, but I think that the lead singer needs to get some singing lessons and get over himself a bit, seeing as all he did in wrexham was sing in one key and continuously blab on about all the groupies he wanted to lay... Damn' shame, it is.

thats so unfortunate. god damn... i like them pretty good, but maybe i dont want to see them live, if the singer is going to be a douche like that.... still, though, awesome that you got to see them live!

hopefully another good band comes through my area soon

So, did you actually get to see the Deathstars live? how was the show? if they ever come across the freakin Atlantic, I need to see them!

Thanks, and yes I can play most of them, but some it would take a refresher. I've just been chugging away, picking up things here and there, and some of the rest then comes more naturally to me, once you figure out how a band composes music and such, haha

Yeah, I was a huge Maiden fan a couple years ago, since then, I've just gotten heavier and heavier, musically speaking here, and yeah, I still enjoy it, but I do prefer heavier riffs now. I mean, Powerslave was a bit tricky, but once I got the gallop down, it's pretty easy. The real challenge is Run to the Hills, now, damn, that's maybe the fastest gallop I've ever heard!

Thanks for the turn onto QUORTHON. I haven't listened to his music yet but his wikipedia page is awesome. To bad he is no longer with us. I am off to try and find some of his music.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my blogs! Thanks also for the turn onto new music. Yes we have it easy in many ways. Imagine how much more time (if we could have done it at all) it would have taken and the expense it would have been 10 years ago! Imagine 20 or 30 years ago. People had to sign with corporate music because they had no way of doing it alone. We are closing in on a new era in music, not yet heard. We can take an idea and run with it at no extra cost, the creative freedom musicians have always wanted! From the mind to the guitar,
N O censorship NO editing unless it is from the artist themselves.

Hahaha. Thanks man. There were way better choices out there for the directors than MCR.

Cheers for the add, I'm goood... Been doing lots of writing for me and my bassist but trying to find anyone to join us in wrexham is as hard as a frozen trout. We'll figure something out eventually!

Hey no problem! That's good- I'm feeling pretty creative lately- probably going to spend the next few days really practicing and working on new ideas. Well I hope you find someone soon!

Hard to say, you've got a lot of down to earth articles on a number subjects that are all useful... Where to go from there would be tricky, but maybe you could possibly write something on music theory? If you've managed to make sense of the process of forming a band, something like theory should be fairly straightforward!

already wrote one, bud.

How are you?

I'm not a remnant of your old band, but I could pretend to be. "I am the ghost of your old band. BOOGIEBOOGIEBOOGIEBOOGIE! Tonight you will be visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, and the Ghost of Christmas Future..."

I do often find it difficult to progress musically, especially with as little time as I often have. But I've had a music-loving girlfriend for about a month now (though we've been friends since October), and she's done more for my musical side than anyone, including my music teachers. :p

I want so much gear it's mind numbing. I am most likely going to pick up a Peavey Valveking 2x12" later this year. As well a an mxr carbon copy delay, isp decimator noise reduction pedal and maybe a Jemini distortion pedal. If I had my way I would pick up a Genz Benz El diablo head and matching 4x12" cab. I love the way they sound. Too bad they cost so much. As far as guitars I just love BC Rich. I'd like to own a bunch more.

That's an awesome ESP you've got there. I don't see them very often on this site, but when I do they never let down.

So you live on an island? Bloody hell... I thought it was a difficult environment in wales!

Thanks got it dead cheap.

Yeh its a pain since all the postage and packaging costs a bomb to get summin over hear

I've never owned a guitar with an original Floyd. Just the licenced version. From what I've read the original is super stable. I don't use the trem much, I'm just used to the feel of guitars that have them. So I stay with what feels right. I hope to buy a bunch of new gear later this year. If I pick up the Outlaw I'll let you know how it plays. :)
