hey just thought i'd follow up that last blog... i bought a used arbor ap 230(les paul copy) for $150 and it plays amazingly, i'm very happy with the purchase
Hey, for anyone who reads this, i'm in Oblivion oasis, www.myspace.com/eyeofthestorm5, and desperately need a new guitar, any suggestions in a 2-300 price range (guitars that don't suck).
ok i changed my mind, i'm not doin' this every week, but every time i've got somethin worth posting. here's the new one.
the album:
metallica's death magnetic
i got it, the very first day. It was well worth the buy, every song is amazing, every riff is awesome, it reminds me of EVERY one of their albums mixed into one amazing fuckin package. my favorites are all nightmare long, the day that never comes, cyanide, the unforgiven 3, and my apocolypse. metallica are BACK.
the band:
Dokken
i wish i could post an article about how good their new album is, but i haven't heard it. but, i saw them live about 3 weeks ago with poison and sebastian bach and i'd never heard them before, i loved them by the first AMAZING solo. i bought they're greatest hits album and i love all the tracks, look up dokken if u love the 80's or just really good rock.
The song:
Quiet riot's sign of the times
my first blast to the past. i love the band quiet riot with a passion and this is definitely a reason why. it's an awesome song with an epic chorus and awesome riffs, plus a weird but awesome verse
I decided to start doin' this thing were I'll post a song an album and a band and say why I like them and tryin' to DESTROY DISNEY CHANNEL GAY ASSED MUSIC.
The Song:
Devour By Shinedown
This song is a great rock/metal tune, but i hated it every time it came on, until i listened to the chorus, the chorus is really good, good enough that it made me listen to the whole song, now i like it.
The Band:
Alter Bridge
I think this band should be ALOT more famous. To put it in perspective, creed used to be my favorite band, so i saw One Day Remains in stores and bought it without a second thought. I had a new favorite band. But There 2nd album blackbird made them heavier and a hell of a lot better, so if u like alternative music to heavy music, check em' out.
The Album:
Saints Of Los Angeles
It's awesome. It's Dirty. It's Perfect. Motley Crue put out an album full of mostly songs about the past, but i don't even care because they kick so much ass. SOLA, Face down in the dirt, mf of the year, and goin out swingin are my personal favorites. Pick it up cause' it's worth more than 14 bucks!
