Lucky Fish wrote on Nov 23rd, 2009 12:52pmSo hows the studying going?? I don't have to hand in any assignments or anything like that. I just need to write the exams. They are transferring my semester mark from this semester to next semester because I have already done all of the work, there is not much point in me doing it again (especially because I don't have to!). IT makes it all very simple. I am off for the first half of the next semester and then I just need to catch up what I missed at the end of it. quote |
Lucky Fish wrote on Nov 18th, 2009 8:17amAH!
Here is a better response than yesterdays miserable attempt... (sorry) ...
Ah, im glad you are slaying economics hey! Its so fun though (what a geek haha) I know I have told you before but I really enjoy that subject. Speaking of which. have you read freakonomics? If you haven't I suggest you do. Its is interesting, he uses data to come to the most unconventional conclusions. GOOD LUCK for the next exam hey! I hope you are studying like a machine and not juts bumming around like I am !! They didnt push me back or anything they have just transfered my registration to the next semester. It delays everything by six months (provided I pass everything!) quote |

Lucky Fish wrote on Nov 13th, 2009 9:34amHey You!!!
I'm off hey! I missed so much varsity when I was sick that I was transferred to next semester. It sucks because I am behind now but I am on glorious holiday until February. I am enjoying it I have even gotten really bored. Its a great feeling not having anything to do except things you want to do!
How are you? Are you writing exams at the moment? quote |
Lucky Fish wrote on Oct 21st, 2009 1:28pmHAHAHAHA!

Faded Grey wrote on Oct 19th, 2009 4:53amYeah man, my thoughts exactly.
I was reading Nietzsche's "The birth Of Tragedy" today and was throughly dissapointed. I don't know if I some how comprehended this wrong due to his odd writing style, but the whole thing about art being inspired by dreams and tragedy was kind of stupid imo. He also went on to say that all Art is inspired by dreams which is completely untrue, and almost stupid. I only read a little bit of it though. Have you read the full essay? quote |

Bit longer than the standard answer
What d'you think? |
My personal conviction as to the matter is that it does make a sound, even though we are oblivious to the matter.
I mean if that falling tree wouldn't make a sound, using the same logic you could say if you close your eyes a tv isn't showing a picture or something, you know what I mean?
You know what I mean?

Faded Grey wrote on Oct 18th, 2009 4:42amTell me man, If a tree falls in the middle of the forest and no ones around to hear it does it make a sound?!?!!??
Haha, old and kind of dull I know. I was just wondering what your outlook on it was. quote |

nightraven wrote on Oct 10th, 2009 4:25pmi used to be into petrucci and satriani (not vai though), and i never saw that much variety in their style. it was always the same instrumental rock thing. instrumental rock is really a genre on its own quote |
nightraven wrote on Oct 10th, 2009 12:23pmthat's the thing - that's what makes him so good at those genres. because he takes them to a new level. malmsteen is neo-classical but EJ is neo-jazzbluescountry-fusion! besides EJ has to get points for having so much to say on the guitar with just the pentatonic scale - your giga shredders need to invent scales because they're run out of ways to run up and down existing ones. quote |
nightraven wrote on Oct 10th, 2009 11:45amhe branches out to real music - prog metal sux

Lucky Fish wrote on Oct 7th, 2009 8:33amI have no idea how long it is going to take to get better, its really frustrating. I haven't been able to do anything. Unfortunately, being a virus, antibiotics will offer very little assistance. I'm a real misery at the moment.
