just now saw you comment on my DC135
the trem is actually kahler pro 2300. carvin only used them from the mid to late 80's, and then for awhile in 1992. it works great and stays in tune literally all the time. the only disadvantage is that its range is not as wide as a floyd rose style trem system, but it's really not a big problem
the guitar's color is deep pearl blue, and was available from the mid 80's to 1990 i think |
that is a nice guitar man.carvin ftw!i want a schecter though!just cause i cant get my own custom carvin.

I don't know too much about tube amps, but the solid state Kustom halfstack I have is really good for heavy stuff, and has a nice clean channel too. it also has a bunch of effects built into it like reverb, delay, flange, etc. |
sweet!i heard kustom makes some sweet amps.I think i found my solid state though its an ampeg vh140c there hard to come by though and there old.

TheIronTrooper wrote on Jan 31st, 2008 11:10pmyeah i think they might fit.i think it is the ones with covers which dont fit. What do you mean by what model though?I dont know how to read the wiring diagrams though. quote |
TheIronTrooper wrote on Jan 31st, 2008 6:14pmIf the feedback is bugging you alot,i would look into it man,it bugged the hell outta me man!alot!i heard the pickups are "microphonic" which is basically like a microphone, and they give out a high amount of feedback.Maybe waxing em again might help. quote |
TheIronTrooper wrote on Jan 31st, 2008 6:13pmYeah,the gig happened already, got my pickups on the day of the gig-_- oh well lol.Im just gonna change em out right now, even though i dont need em now,i think theylll be more necessary later once i get a tube amp.The gig didnt go so well but the people seemed to dig it and i had fun soo no loss!first gig,no nervousness for some reason^_^
oh btw:the pickups seem like they would fit in there, but well have to see ill update you. quote |
TheIronTrooper wrote on Jan 29th, 2008 1:55amahh man guess i gotta take it to a pro man. this sucks.gigs this wednesday, stupid last second planning. You think it might be the wax which may have melted?any idea how to repair it? quote |

TheIronTrooper wrote on Jan 29th, 2008 1:26amahh sweet!I do alot of research on stuff i buy no matter what also!I didnt do that much on carvin though XD i just bought it and havent been dissapointed(cept the pickups).I was trying to keep off buying pickups for a while for the reason you said, they wont to shit with my amp lol.The pickups feedback alot! With any amp, didnt notice with the cube as i played at low volumes. They are from what i hear microphonic and i have a gig coming up and i need em unless iwant some crazy feedback while playing which would get annoying.I ordered some dimarzios in black already but are you serious?!?!they wont fit?ahhhhh meen this sucks.I ordered f spaced pickups though would those fit?crap ishoulda done quite a bit more research XD.crap. quote |
TheIronTrooper wrote on Jan 28th, 2008 2:14amwow really!your right!i never really noticed the logo was a bit larger than other carvins!haha thats pretty sweet man.do you own a carvin?or how do you know all this useful stuff lol?im gonna swap my pickups should i order some "zebras" or stick to blacks?im thinking of just sticking to the black as zebras may look akward on mine . quote |
