Hey, so ive heard your the man to talk to about pickups. I have a Gibson SG and want to rewire the pickups from the stock ones to EMG LH 300's with 2 coil taps in the volume pots.(I have them from the previous rewiring of my ESP f2e, which was done professionally). I looked on their web site for the specific wiring diagram, but couldn't find one. To be honest with you, I am right around clueless on where to begin, as I'm not familiar on the color coding of the wires or anything on that matter. so any help appreciated, Garrett. |
I'm not sure about the wirning on the set but EMG does have wiring diagrams on there site for other pickups. Most EMG pickups can not be "tapped" but the 89 can so here is a link to the wiring diragram http://www.emginc.com/downloads/wiringdiagrams/EMG -81TW-89.pdf
If yours can be tapped then I would guess that it would use the same colour coding.

Yea it sounds wicked lol Hammerhead isn't bad... I haven't heard any of their other new stuff though... sounds like they're going back to their old style though... back when they released ignition and smash...
