sacamano79 wrote on Aug 17th, 2008 8:07am#2 sounds very punk-like, reminds me of greenday (take that however you want). Throw in a few more riffs, and you would have a good punk song, it is fairly repetitive as is.
on #14, if you had some drums, at about :52, it would make an amazing intro.
overall:
Your tone is a bit too fuzzy for my taste
Songs have a similar feel in that you use palm muted power chords a great amount, and the beginnings of some of the songs are similar.
I like what you are doing though, and I think you will have a great amount of songs if you build off of the riffs you have. Hope some of that helped quote |

tona_107 wrote on Jun 12th, 2008 3:08amhey man i'm sure you probably don't care but if you could help that would be great... in your profile it says you use pro tools? how do you like it dude. i'm in the market for some pro recording software and right now i'm torn between cakewalk and that, because i have zero experience with both and am just going by word of mouth. i have heard that pro tools is somewhat unnecessary or something along those lines. also what else are you running for recording/production? soundcard, midi device etc. thanks if you can help, if not then thanks anyways. quote |

jflorick wrote on Apr 23rd, 2008 5:19amOk, I hear you. Showing off isnt my dig though. Just want people to hear the music, know what i mean? Music is about playing what you feel, coming together, all that good stuff. But now worries bud. You do play very solidly. You should remember that its music, theres no rules so just throw in things where you feel it. I like to record a track and then listen to it a few times, and then ideas will just come to me to put over it. Find the key and improv a little over it. Just a suggestion
And no worries man. quote |
jflorick wrote on Apr 23rd, 2008 4:24amWheres the lead? Its all power chords and its the same chord progression over and over. quote |

Original #56
I really like the transition from soft melodic to hard trashy-aggressive it was pretty cool, the riffage was hard driving which I like.
It would be nice if there was some lead playing or a solo, it's all rhythm power chords, which is fine but could be more interesting.
The tone is great as well maybe ease off the dist a bit, but overall sounds sweet. quote |
