Ok as i have said in previous blogs, my band was going into the studio to record another album. We capped off the recording yesterday. It turned out pretty good, at least from the jam session we put on there. The songs we put on were Re-education Through Labor by the Rise Against, Learn to Fly by the Foo Fighters, The Middle by Jimmy Eat World, and All the Small Things by Blink-182, and finally a great jam session to cap it all off. I am hoping to have them up soon, so when they do feel free to listen or comment. Criticism is fine with me haha.
My band Breaking the Barrier, has been delayed for our dates of recording our new album. However, good news came to me this past Thursday, February 19th, 2009. That good news is that the band is scheduled to go into the studio and record our second album. We will be going in about two weeks after the beginning of March (scheduled date- March 15th). Hopefully our album will be finished soon so that I can share our new music with UG again.
As many know the superbowl is this weekend. Great sporting event, which really catches my attention cause its the most anticipated part of the NFL season but why i am posting this is to say (with all apologies to the Arizona Cardinals fans) GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bring home a sixth!!!
Our Father, Who Art in Pittsburgh Football be thy game. The Kingdom come, 5 Super Bowls won, On earth as it is in Heinz Field. Give us this day a playoff victory, And forgive us our penalties, As we defeat those who play against us. But lead us into a victory, And deliver us to Tampa. A-Ben.
Velvet Revolver... ahh man, they becoming one of my fav bands. I think that Libertad is a great album. Love "Let it Roll", "Get Out the Door", and "She Builds Quick Machines". Great stuff. What you think of them?
Ok, so i had recently been to the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. I have got to say it was amazing, haha. It was great seeing all those artifacts from rock n' roll history. My personal fav was seeing Slash's Gibson Les Paul and his jacket and top hat. Haha ya, i kinda a Slash fan. Haha, if you have ever been there drop by and we can talk.
Who do you think is the greatest guitar god? Whether it is Slash Eddie Van Halen, Joe Perry, Satch, anyone, who do you think it is drop by and we can talk.
My band, Breaking the Barrier, the new band from Pittsburgh, PA, is soon going to be recording a new album. The album will most likely (sadly) not contain any originals. The album will most likely consist of the classic cover by Van Halen, You Really Got Me, Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet, and When You Were Young by The Killers. This album will probably be getting under way in about a month, as we wrap up our local tour. Any questions or comments, drop on by and we can talk.
Rock On!

One of the greatest bands in my mind, Aerosmith, is going on tour again next year. This is a great choice for the band i think. I was slightly dissappointed last time they went on tour because they had to cancel the Pittsburgh, PA event. I am very excited that they are having another tour. Drop by and tell me what you think bout this decision by them and any past experiences you had with the band. Thanks and Rock On.
