There's essentially no change when ascending on a single string, and if you're changing strings, the aim would be to hammer from nowhere or pick with as little attack as is possible.
Trills are possible, but you'll probably only really manage them with the index and middle fingers.
Remember, you don't remove pull-offs entirely. You don't use them where you don't need to, and you minimise the pull movement when they are needed. There will be times that you'll either have to add a pickstroke or a pull-off to maintain the level. quote |
