The bartolinis had essentially degrowled what is supposed to be a very growly bass (A musicman) Bartolinis do not sound like a musicman should, They have their own sound, Which is rather dark and polite sounding. Nordstrands are supposed to be the closest sound to a standard musicman pickup. Standard Musicman pups are probably the best stock pickup you can get in a bass. I wanted to recreate that sound and the nordstrand is the best copy.
