As of december 10th the year 2010 I am no longer a part of the band Sheeps of God. No point in further deteriorating an already pretty deteriorated relationship with some of my bandmates.
I've spent a year and a half in the band. Played 30somthin' gigs, most in Croatia, a few abroad (Slovenia, Czech republic, Poland). Recorded some songs and a video. Grown as a guitarist to a level I wouldn't have even imagined. Yadda, yadda, yadda...
Loved the music we played (hell, I was a huge part of it) but I can no longer support ideas that i don't fully believe in or want to follow.
Got myself a new amp. A Peavy Classic 30. 30 watts, all tube, fuckin' loud as hell. I still have to get used to it, it breaths somewhat differently then the VOX AD50VT that I used up till now. Did I mention how fuckin' loud it is???!!
And my pedalboard is almost done. I will definitely get another distortion pedal. Somethin' high gain. A RAT maybe. A YouDirtyRAT or a Turbo Rat.
A month ago I joined a band called Hard Wired.
Their frontman called me up and asked if I could learn a few songs in 2 and 1/2 days.
I learned their entire setlist (10 songs) in 1 and 1/2 day.
In the past 4 weeks we played 5 gigs.
Just finished recording our first album (it still sounds weird when I say it to myself).
Our last recording session was yesterday (lead vocals & my guitars solos).
It's been an interesting month. A month ago if someone had told me I would be playing infront of crowds of people a recording an album I'd tell him he's crazy.
It's a good time to be alive. www.myspace.com/podnaponom
My band broke up, the drummer just said: "I don't wanna play anymore". I had my doubt's on how long we were gonna be togeather, but this came as a surprise. I mean, a few days ago I wrote the lyrics and a guitar solo for two of our songs. I expected we would play them at least a few times but... And I thought I'd be the asshole who would break it up. Well, it was fun and very creative, while it lasted.
