I don't like many guitarists for their guitar playing, but more for their songwriting abilities, and often because they sing well too. Therefore: Kurt Cobain, Jerry Cantrell, Matt Bellamy, James Hetfield, Shawn Harris, Dave Grohl, Ray Toro + Frank Iero, John Mayer, John Frusciante, Tom Morello, Billy Bragg... Will update later.
Favorite bassists :
Cliff Burton, Les Claypool, Mike Inez, Jaco Pastorius, Chris Wolstenhome, Krist Novoselic, Tim Commerford. Whilst they're not bad, I hate how everyone acts like Flea & Paul McCartney are two of the greatest bassists on Earth. Also, there's something about Victor Wooten's sound that I just dislike.
