oldeskoolmann wrote on Mar 18th, 2012 8:23pmhey mr EQUIPMENT SNOB.i try to understand the mind set of the "REAL FENDER STRAT however,i'm inclined to think that NINETY PERCENT or better don't sign AUTOGRAPHS.it's my feeling that after paying the big bucks on their equipment,they feel cheated,as some squiers are nice guitars.i own a 1999 affinity strat and i've only replaced strings,and put a strap lock kit on.the sound of those three single coil pups,with no trouble with the tones,vol,and five way this guitar sounds like the VINTAGE late sixties strats.being in al hendrix's home in seattle,the jimi guitars that al has kept over the years,the electronics etc,play alot like the affinity that i own.i like the sounds of this guitar and at the end of the day,thats all that counts.i say hurrah for the mia,mim's both strats and tele.BTW,my strat was INDEED made by fender,and CRAFTED IN INDONESIA.lets agree to disagree.JIMI started playing in a church band,and played a bass. quote |
