Well i have now had my epiphone les paul Special ll and my roland cube-15 amp for a year now. I am amazed at how well the Epi Special ll is holding up, there is not a scratch on it and it is sounding better than ever. IMHO this is theeeeee greatest first electric guitar for anyone. The neck is smooth, (pretty) fast and exceptionally comfortable. The body, well its a les paul, its a amazing, mine is in white with chrome hardware. As far as other features go the pick ups are great. This is probably the only guitar for less than £200 which i can say that the stock pickups are great! The bridge pick up is a '700T' and is great for punchy leads, soloing and is even powerful enough to lest the pinch harmonics fly! The neck pick up is a '650R', wow, this pickup is amazing for clean sweeps and i mainly use is when playing various styles of picking. I dont use the middle setting much so i canot give an honest opinion of it, but is seems to be pretty good. Overall this guitar punches wayyyyy above the belt, honestly i wasnt expecting it to be this good. This thing is built like a tank and will last me for a LONNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG time. The only modification i have done is i added a pair of gold strap locks, again easy to do and no problems with the guitar what-so-ever. Honesyly i wouldnt want it changes in any way! AMAZING GUITAR!!!
The Roland Cube-15, already hailed as one of the best solid state amps out there, i can only agree! This differnt channels are great with the distortion channel able to give 4 differnt type of distortion, they are all Boss effects -overdrive,distortion,metal and metal stack This amp is great if you dont want to have to carry bunches of pedals to each practise! It looks beautiful and is built like a tank, also this amp is ezceptionally loud for a 15-watter. This amp is amazing, i havnt had any problems with it so far, and with the way it sounds and deals with practises, i have no reason not to think that ils last forever
Current pedal: Behringer HB01 Wah, Hell Babe and a Danelectro Tuna
Melt tremolo.
I LOVE MY RIG
My next plans are a Peavey valveking 212 and a dean from hell and an Epiphone Les Paul Bullseye with an EMG 81/85 active set.
Next peadals: Zakk Wylde Dunlop Wah, Metal Muff, boss distortion, Ibanez fl-9 flanger and some type of overdrive.
i agree, i have one, and there is only 1 very unoticable scratch on the side that you can't even find, and that was after my frriend dropped it on my cement floor, i was pissed, but i couldn't even find a scratch at the time. lol it plays great, and the amp that came with mine was a studio 10S, IT SUCKS, but other than that it is great, i can't play fast with it though
