The Rain Drums

Hello everyone,

Despite my love of all things Soft Cell my musical tastes go far beyond them. I grew up in the 80's & a lot of my most favourite bands are from that decade.
Funnily enough during the 80's I also had a passion for music from the 60's. Saw those Beatles films, heard those songs & I was hooked & I still am. In my opinion The Beatles are the greatest musical phenomenon to hit Planet Earth!

During the 80's my interest in music was more important than anything else & I started to play guitar (badly) & then decided to switch to playing Bass after being influenced by John Taylor from Duran Duran.

I eventually got a band together called The Rain Drums which lasted from the late 80's to the early 90's. Anyone reading this will have never heard of us, we never made it outside of Hertfordshire!! We did get to play some gigs, record some demos & write our own songs. Something I'm quite proud of. I would have loved to have made an album, even put out a single but it was never meant to be.

I decided a while back to put those demos on the internet to share with the world, just to see what other people may think of them. Our music can be found on myspace, reverbnation, youtube & indie music channel.
