Acting

Current mood: mellow

I studied acting from the ages of 11 to 20.  I had some great experiences and a little success.  I now work in an office 9-5 and live for the weekends.  Im slightly upset that i havent pursued my ambition but its so damn hard these days.  I am still represented by an agent in Glasgow but i am getting no work.  I guess it seems it has become a 'hobby' instead of a 'career'.  Its a shame because i miss it so much.  I dont think i will ever lose the drive for it, i will still attend the theatre and maybe try and join an amateur dramtatic society.  I just wish i had the nerve to REALLY go for it.

I totally know how you feel. I never thought I'd be working mon-fri, and just looking forward to the weekends. When I was young I always thought I'd be doing someting so much bigger than this...but now I just do what I have to so I can survive. It's unfortunate.

Hi, thanks for the comment. Yeah i completely agree, got to pay the bills as they say. I suppose its bein at the right place at the right time in ye old acting world. The crap thing is that we are in the 'big bad world where everybody is thriving to be something better than the next.
