About armaghk
Over the past twenty years I have both played and studied the guitar. My passion for the instrument took off in the ’90s when I first heard the guitar solo from Guns ‘n Roses “November Rain.” I watched the television mesmerized at Slash’s command of his instrument and I knew at that moment my life would never be the same.

I studied under several teachers, some great, some less so, and would lock myself in my room for hours at a time practicing. I made a lot of progress in those early years, but something unfortunate happened – I plateaued. Like many musicians I reached a certain level of skill and was unable to make any more progress. It’s probably the worst thing that can happen to a person. Even as my musical influences expanded to include Kirk Hammett, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Yngwie Malmsteen, Rush, Dream Theater, Eddie Van Halen, etc. etc, the level of virtuosity I sought constantly eluded me.

That is until years later. Through trial and error I discovered many myths about guitar playing that were holding me back. I had to abandon such beliefs like: practicing slower is better, learn scale patterns, and practice with perfect technique. I can go on and on and I do in my material. In true rock and roll fashion I had to say fuck you to these long held beliefs and forge ahead. Once I discovered a better approach my progress soared.

Today I want to share this information with you. I want to share the fruits of my years of experience, and allow you to benefit from them. If just one person is able to take my approach and blast through a learning plateau, or play the kind of music they’ve always dreamed of, or become the next virtuoso, it will be worth it to me. So go ahead and visit my site, enjoy the material, and play the living hell out of your instrument.
