The main riff of this song was written by my lovely bride. We were sitting around jamming and sharing riffs when she played this for me. That is when I came up with the main lead part; the octave melody. I asked if I could use it for my own.
The song is about being absolutely in love with someone, loss and reality.
My wife and I are two peas in a pod. One night I had a bad dream where she had died and it destroyed me! I literally shot out of bed to find her next to me.
The next day I finished the song, recorded it and posted it. Everything was in one take. It was the only time I have ever done that.
