I have received many emails about speed and when will I post a lesson about the subject. Well, I have taken great care and thought into doing such a lesson. I have analyzed what I do, others on UG and even great guitarist that influence me! The truth is...this info is out there...
Now, I do teach this with current students and I did not say I would never write a lesson about the subject, however it would be short; hence the blog.
To play fast, you need to know a few things:
-You MUST have a metronome -Practice very, very, very, very slow -Be patient
Outside of that, the lessons are out there on UG, guitar magazines or Youtube. Check out some of the titles: Paul Gilbert - Intense rock John Petrucci - Rock discipline Steve Vai - 10 hour work out Guthrie Goven has great articles in Guitar World magazine There are many talented guitarist on the UG site too! Just because we are all unknowns does not mean we are talentless....lol
