Favorite bands :
I was brought up on Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, that kind of thing. But at the moment I'm into bands like Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, 3 Doors Down, Sonic Syndicate, Scar Symmetry. My favourite band is probably Alter Bridge. Seeing them live has been my favourite live shows by far. Really into The Cat Empire these days. Also started getting into happy acoustic music ala Jack Johnson.
Favorite guitarists :
Mark Tremonti (Creed/Alter Bridge) has been a huge inspiration, as has Paul Gilbert (Racer X, Mr Big, solo) purely because they are excellent musicians but also seem like really down-to-earth guys. Other favourites include David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits)
Favorite bassists :
Don't really know many bassists but the Alter Bridge guy Brian Marshall, the guy out of Wishbone Ash
Favorite books :
Aint read in ages. Probably can't read anymore :P I do like reading some manga though :)
Favorite tv :
Black Books, Family Guy, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Mock the Week, Top Gear, Have I Got News For You, mainly but I don't really watch much TV...seen some anime too...
Favorite movies :
Not a film buff, but Jackass Number 2 was pretty damn funny. Van Wilder and Just Friends were alright too. Anything that'll make me laugh is generally the best way to go. Not too good with horror films...old school Westerns and Kung Fu movies score highly with me too. Last film I saw was Kung Fu Hustle. AMAZING :D
Verse I
It's raining again and it's cold outside
Been laid to rest, the day has died
Walking back with head hung low
Keep on moving not far to go
Pre-Chorus
One step forward just to be knocked back
King of the world but he aint got jack
Looking on into the fading dusk
Doubt in his mind but he knows he must
Chorus
I know that the world keeps turning
But my state of mind dies while the fire keeps burning
I know that nothing stays the same
Why wait for tomorrow if it's just another day?
Verse II
Bitter wind chills to the bone
Empty streets but never alone
Sound of the night, sight of the year
Broken bones left lying here
I'm 19 years old and have been playing guitar since I was 13 or 14...never can remember...music, comedy and social drinking is the name of the game for me. I like to look at life and pretend that it aint all bad. Make the best of whatcha got
