I used to read a lot of textbooks, mostly on music (while I was in a band). I was most interested in the physics of sound, and the physical aspects of instruments affecting such sounds. Upon doing research on the music industry I quickly lost hope that the industry itself could brighten up in the coming years. Sadly, I was right.
