travislausch wrote on Nov 17th, 2007 8:57pmSo my first friend on U-G is a J-rock fan. Can't really say it's my preferred style, but I like it. Actually, I'm into some of the more obscure stuff. Like Japanese prog band Bi Kyo Ran, or metal band Onmyo-za. I also just recently heard of Head Phones President. They're kind of like Korn, but better. And their vocalist was the stage actor in the Sailor Moon musicals, portraying Sailor Moon herself. That's kind of... interesting XD
Were you at all somewhat unimpressed with Diru's new single, "Dozing Green", too? When I heard the clip, I was hoping for a more melodic sound really far from their last two albums, but unfortunately, it's still the same old nu-metal sound with Kyo's crappy screaming. Hell, I'd like their new style better if Kyo would just cut out the screaming. I wouldn't mind it if he started singing mostly in Japanese again, either. I'm not really biased against English lyrics or anything, but his English is so bad that it's annoying.
That's just my opinion though ^^; quote |
