My name is Xianyi Ye (shean-yi), I’m now 20 years old, I’m an Asian mix, half chinese, half Filipino. I have been playing music for almost 10 years, it started out with my friend in middle school influencing me with an instrument called guitar, I was fascinated by it. Anyways, I did have a teacher, but it was when i was 8 years old when my father wanted me to learn, but i gave-up. Some years later i picked it up again, and self-taught myself. Now I can play guitar, bass, drums, now learning piano on my own. A little history about April Perfect... April Perfect was formed by Xianyi in 2008, currently with just one person, the guy who made April Reborn. Xianyi was originally from The Coriolis Effect which was formed by Jason Clark and Ryan Dolen in 2000. Later on Coriolis Effect acquired a bass player, Rob Rizzolo. The group played some local shows in Red Hook. Then they recruited another guitarist, Xianyi Ye, and also a new singer Devin Mauch. Coriolis Effect got serious and started looking for gigs and shows to perform trying to get their music out to the world. Although they only stayed together until the end of high school year, they performed their best and had the most fun in their lives. Now The Coriolis Effect is no more, while the members of the group are on their separate ways, like Devin Mauch, with his new band Gabriel; Xianyi Ye, and April Perfect.
