thefitz wrote on Feb 15th, 2008 5:45amOh, and that's assuming you figure out how to ship it, or find someone to pay the probably ~$80 shipping charge on an item like that... dude, try local! quote |
thefitz wrote on Feb 15th, 2008 5:45amThe question is, how do you plan on getting the money into your pocket? 95% of eBay transactions are PayPal, and the highest bids are ALWAYS PayPal. Cheques and the like are a pain in the ass for EVERYBODY, and many people just won't bother with it. In short, selling a Behringer on eBay with 0 feedback asking for a cheque just ain't gonna happen.
And, if you are using PayPal, they dick around sellers a bit. They take 3% of the cash you receive, and charge you $5 to deposit the cash from your PayPal account to your bank account. Food for thought.
Is there no other way? Craigslist? Pawn shop? quote |
thefitz wrote on Feb 13th, 2008 4:33amHaha, all in a days work. Getting a person to ditch a Behringer is one thing, getting someone to pick up a Bassman 250 is another thing, but both at once is something completely different.
Did you trade in the Behringer? If not, what are your plans for it? quote |
thefitz wrote on Feb 13th, 2008 3:59amRight on man - glad you enjoyed it. It was a fantastic amp and I'm very glad that I can get my "Carvin stack" to sound just like it.
And I hope you appreciate the power of that semi-parametric EQ. You can quite literally dial in any tone you want, and the balanced out is fantastic, too. You have a great amp for yourself there. quote |
jazz_rock_feel wrote on Jan 23rd, 2008 12:41amYes, I've played through Carvin amps. I'm not like that where if someone says something I immediately follow them (unless they're playing psychological head games, those bastards). I quite like the tone of them in fact. Well, the one I tried anyway. It's pretty rare to find them around, which should be another testament to their awesomeness really. quote |
thefitz wrote on Jan 14th, 2008 9:59pmBy the way. I just got a call from Supernova... they gave us a slot for the Finals. Oh dear. quote |
thefitz wrote on Jan 14th, 2008 8:09pmThat video is one of them gag videos where someone plays along with a master and makes them sound like their playing really, really shitty. The attention to detail in that movie is scary - the guy knew ALL the parts so well. He just played them with no loops and horrible, horrible intonation (on purpose, to make it look stupid). It's amazing seeing all these idiots post "OMG how is he famous he's so shit OMG OMG" quote |
thefitz wrote on Jan 14th, 2008 3:36pmThanks for the comments. I was in a really bad headspace when I wrote it and feel better now. I reworked Sexy Lasagna a bit and I'm thinking I can salvage it.
lol I read your posts in the order they were posted and they made sense to me! It seems like band life is one catch 22 after another clusterfuck.
And finally... are you SURE that Manring video wants to make you buy a delay pedal? Are you POSITIVE? If I were you, I'd watch that video in my profile again... and listen closely... it isn't what you think it is. quote |
Deliriumbassist wrote on Jan 13th, 2008 11:59pmI am getting a PS3 as a bluray player, as bluray players still retail for about the same price. It'd be silly NOT to buy a PS3 instead, especially as MGS4 and FFXIII are on the way : Much rather play games AND watch bluray for the price. quote |

Typik wrote on Jan 1st, 2008 11:46pmYerr, he replied to my second message I sent him with this
"I WIN YOU LOSE HAHA"
I was like what? but no I messaged him back after that and for the sake of everyone on the forum bitching at me for being too honest I said this
"
Haha pathetic that you have no proof of your victory
but since you're a ten year old and you act like a ten year old I'll go ahead and let it slide just so you can have your prepubescent childish pride."
Hey, I just noticed, I rhymed in there
yet I can't write lyrics to save my life. quote |
creepingjesus73 wrote on Dec 29th, 2007 8:11pmI bought the Ricky copy in 1991, when I was just a lad...lol. I'm not absolutely sure what make it is, but it's likely a Fuji-Gen made Columbus (Ibanez budget brand from the 70's and 80's). Looks and sounds spot-on, except for the bolt-on neck. Sadly its' age is showing now, so I rarely use it. quote |
thefitz wrote on Dec 6th, 2007 6:58pmHahaha thanks. I know I'll get on TV sooner or later, but I was thinking it was more along the lines of "cranky old man flashes a class of schoolchildren at a park, more on News at 6" quote |
