Favorite bands :
Far too many to list. I love almost every genre of music. John Butler Trio at the moment are massive to me, Hendrix, Children of Bodom and SRV are also up there. Black Label Society are another band that I've loved since their inception. Other bands include Slayer, Freak Kitchen and Bryan Adams. I adore Black Sabbath, probably my all time favourite band.
I will listen to everything at least once though, I don't like judging music so I'm influenced by a lot of different people.
Favorite guitarists :
Zakk Wylde is the single biggest influence on me, the reason I picked up the guitar. John Butler is an absolute legend. I draw blues influence from people like SRV and Hendrix. Mainly anyone with soul has my vote as far as music is concerned.
What can I say really? I'm very laid back, easy going and love to have a good time. For me, life is all about having a good time. I don't mind where it takes me, as long as I enjoy the process. I'll never understand people that work so hard to get into a position in the future, people who work solely for the future. People who want to have a good job, loads of money, wife + children and that's their life planned out. I understand why you want it, but where is the enjoyment? To me it seems like you are making life a chore instead of a 'hobby'. Life can't be planned, some many unexpected things happen in each single day, never mind the entire expanse of a lifetime. People need to chill out, relax and ride the wave, y'know? Have a plan yes, but don't stick to it without taking different paths, you never know when you'll make an accidental U-turn and end up right back where you started. People shouldn't be afraid of risking things in their life. It's a journey, and what's a journey without excitement?
I'm incredibly liberal, more left of centre than anything.
I'm not against religion per se, I just don't believe it should be part of modern politics. It shouldn't be pushed into peoples faces and it most certainly isn't an excuse for extremism, hatred or violence. Saying this, I enjoy learning about religion and the people that follow it. I love meeting people from different walks of life, variety is the spice of life and all that.
Music? I love it. You always have something to talk about if you're a musician, you always have something to do and boredom shouldn't ever enter a musicians vocabulary. A lot of the work I do is computer based, electronic music (this does not mean Dance music). I'm studying Music Technology, so that's where a lot of it comes from. I play in 2 bands, one a metal band based on Sabbath style stuff, the other a blues/funk/rock band. I write music and lyrics for both bands almost exclusively so I'm always occupied whilst at home.
