Doolittle wrote on Apr 27th, 2008 6:34pmI hear ya man, I dig 'em but sometimes their stuff is a little bland. I have one album which is pretty cool, the top tracks are top but the filler is just kinda lame. quote |
Doolittle wrote on Apr 23rd, 2008 4:36amPretty fine, yourself?
You have very killer tastes by the way! quote |
K-Lizzle wrote on Apr 11th, 2008 3:25pmMm, I don't have Winrar. That's probably why I couldn't open it. I tried to open it using a different program, but my computer wouldn't let me.
Those are some of my favorites, too. I really like "Half Past April," as well. I love the I won't swallow my pride part, when Caithlin and Kyle just kind of start shouting all over the place. "Tinfoil" and "Always More Often" take the cake, though. Amaaaaazing stuff.
I really like Look Now Look Again also. It's not as intense as Past Worn Searching, but it's still excellent. And it's before Caithlin started changing her voice.
I've never listened to Shroomunion. They sound interesting, though. quote |
K-Lizzle wrote on Apr 11th, 2008 5:19amI couldn't open it. I was slightly disheartened.
So what's your favorite song from Past Worn Searching? quote |

K-Lizzle wrote on Apr 6th, 2008 5:35amI sampled some of the Hal Al Shedad on iTunes. From the thirty-second snippets I was able to hear, they sound pretty neat.
Do they have, like, a MySpace or something I could hear whole songs on? quote |
UMadeMeRealise wrote on Apr 3rd, 2008 9:58pmI've been great. My English class is very rigorous this year, but I'll also be getting college credit for it so it's not so bad I suppose. And I've been going to quite a few concerts lately. quote |
K-Lizzle wrote on Apr 3rd, 2008 4:59amYou like Rainer Maria too? That's really cool. You're, like, the first person I haven't had to spoon-feed them to. Haha.
I'd love to check out those guys you mentioned. quote |
K-Lizzle wrote on Apr 3rd, 2008 1:29amOhh yes, I can only eat one Cadbury egg at a time or else I'll keel over. Have you ever had the caramel-filled ones? They're even better.
A pecan meltaway is just chocolate with pecans in it, in the shape of an egg. At least, that's what it said on the wrapper. They're pretty good.
I really, really want to get the self-titled Smiths record. It's got all the good stuff on it - "This Charming Man," "Hand In Glove," "Still Ill," et cetera. Speaking of emo, I listened to Past Worn Searching by Rainer Maria earlier today, which is one of my favorite albums ever. Sooooo good. quote |
Tele.Player.92 wrote on Apr 2nd, 2008 7:07amYeah, there isn't many indie shops where I am, we have a big chain that stocks all that nu-indie stuff (second british invasion) but nothing else really, only a small store that thinks atreyu and the used are HeLlLz EmOo as they put it... Lucky Me... quote |

K-Lizzle wrote on Apr 1st, 2008 4:48pmWell, I ate all the good stuff in one sitting. Like the Cadbury creme eggs and the pecan meltaways and all that jazz. All I have left are jellybeans and those miniature chocolate eggs wrapped in tinfoil.
The only Smiths vinyl I have is Meat Is Murder. It's a great record, but I've got to expand my collection. quote |
Tele.Player.92 wrote on Apr 1st, 2008 12:57amYeah, definitely dude. plug it into the guitar, and then hook it up to the p.a via the headphone thingy. I usually plug the amplug into my Tubescreamer clone and put the headphone jack into the mic jack of my laptop, and that works real well into Adobe Audition. The only place I really look for music is shops, I don't really download and if I do, it's off soulseek. quote |
K-Lizzle wrote on Mar 31st, 2008 9:00pmEhh, my cash flow is running low at the moment, also. Other than that, I'm pretty dandy. I'm munching on leftover Easter candy and listening to the Smiths on vinyl. Ohh yes.
My whereabouts are in Alabama. quote |

So, how are things on your side of the Atlantic? quote |
Tele.Player.92 wrote on Mar 31st, 2008 2:20pmbetter than my valve amp :-(. It has a nice british invasion tone. But, much more importantly, it has good cleans. I made the whole "emo" journey. I went from The Juliana Theory to Sunny Day Real Estate to Rites of Spring to The Khayembii Communique and because there aren't really many bands on that pallette, I gave up and now I listen to jazz. *sigh* quote |
Tele.Player.92 wrote on Jan 25th, 2008 10:57pmTHANK GOD! A person with good gear AND taste in music that doesn't suck! quote |
Tele.Player.92 wrote on Jan 25th, 2008 6:21amhey,
Do you like early emo as well? I saw you write about Rites Of Spring, Cap N Jazz and others in the indie forum. You have very good taste in music from what I can see. try Nation Of Ulysses (on Dischord) quote |
