.. Just let me ask you, how did you record those sweet acoustic tones? I'm having a hard time recording a usable acoustic tone...
Cheers!
How did you guess about Satriani ???
The acoustic guitar is Variax 700 from Line6. Sounds like crap as an acoustic, but is pretty decent once plugged in. |
Heh, it takes one to know one.
And for the accoustic... That's what I thought, it's plugged directly in. Shame, I thought maybe you had found a sweet, secret way of placing the mic or mixing it in.
Cheers!

It feels like you just 'picked out' the notes on the Guitar Pro fretboard, as a 'filler' maybe. Of course, what I said before, about how it might just be the fact that it IS Guitar Pro still applies. |
Ah yes, I see what you mean... i'm seeing my guitar teacher today, so i'll ask him how i can be a little more creative there.
Thx for the feedback!

Yep, i'll take your crit on board... i'm trying to get some of my stuff recorded atm.
I think songs sound alright as they are... i'm a bit confused, what do you mean by the leads being 'scaly' up and down?
Sry, i rly want to know how to improve my songs... and this might be the key to doing this.
Could you give me an example of the ideas being based around scales giong up and down? Thx
Thx for your time,

WtrPlyr wrote on Jan 21st, 2009 10:49amDe Boss bevalt me prima.

Hey mate, thanks for commenting my small clip.
I've listened to some of your tunes as well, and there are some cool concepts in there (As well as the obvious 'tallica influence, haha).
Might I point you towards Toontrack's EZDrummer though? It's real easy to get the hang of, and it can take your riffs from 'riffing' to 'full blown metal'.
Cheers! |
cheers dude

tallaxegrinder wrote on Sep 27th, 2008 8:21pmThat's because Maiden generally tend to use Strats that were made for them. Though, I'm still not convinced they use 'thin' necks. Maybe just a different shape.
Fender goes apeshit in terms of neck shapes, you know.
ive never liked fender necks. could you elaborate on what you said here? quote |
