Favorite bands :
Jimi Hendrix Experience, System of a Down, Green Day, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, The Beatles, The Eagles, Blue Oyster Cult... most classic rock.
You know what? I can't name every band... we'll just settle with "I like a lot of bands."
Favorite guitarists :
Eric Johnson, Tony Iommi, Jimmy Page, Edward Van Halen, Brian May, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Dave Murray... I also like Billie Joe Armstrong; he's not bad at all. And Daron Malakian, he's good.
Eric Johnson is by far my favourite, if I had to choose one.
Favorite bassists :
Geezer Butler, Shavo, John Paul Jones, Steve Harris, Mike Dirnt
Favorite books :
Anything by Sidney Sheldon, "The Thornbirds", "Harry Potter", Anything by Jonathan Kellerman, Michael Connelly, Dennis Lehane, etc.
I love reading and chances are that if you recommend me something decent which could expand my knowledge, I'll read it. Also, I like Douglas Coupland, wacky as he is. George Orwell is awesome too. I just read "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett and it was bad ass; I highly recommend it - 'bout to start on "World Without End", the sequel. Hmmm, oh yes, Hunter S. Thompson has quite a few good books that I'm getting into.
Favorite tv :
Er, not much. Family Guy...The Simpsons...Futurama. ..South Park... All In The Family (Bunker's the man), any older shows really... COPS is sweet. From time to time I catch the Discovery Channel Programming, and when I can, Animal Planet. Oh yeah, Saturday Night Live for sure, and Leno, Conan, and Letterman have some sweet shows.
The news is good... CNN that is... yeah... I also love watching Kenny vs. Spenny. Great show. Also, how could I forget Saturday Night Live?
Favorite movies :
Forrest Gump. What is it about this movie? It's spectacular. Anything with Al Pacino in it is great, as well as films starring Sidney Poitier. Also, I love the works of the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost duo, like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.
Anything with Chris Walken. Also, I love "Requiem for a Dream" and "Spun". Any drug-related movies tend to be pretty fucked, but nevertheless, I like 'em. Ah yes, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas". There's a good one. Anchorman... anything with Seth Rogan, Bill Hader, etc.
My name's Mark, I'm 19 years old, hailin' from Peterborough, Ontario. Not much to say really...I like the guitar (wow, amazing), I'm good at writing I think, I enjoy talking to people and helping them with their problems if there are any, so feel free to message me, even just to talk.
I do not like people who constantly brag about how great a close relative or sibling is, because they themselves are so insecure they cannot brag about what they have accomplished.
I do not take any reviews on Harmony Central, Musician's Friend or the like seriously because no one ever has any idea what they're talking about. Take heed.
I loathe sports on a huge level, and believe they are inhibitors, preventing these bozos you see from realizing what really matters. Like honestly, I couldn't stand being that stupid, I don't think. Sports drafts and statistics just don't seem like a good conversation piece, unless it's two morons "identifying" with each other. Not knocking sports entirely, many people play them, and that's cool, but it's just these hopeless idiots who only revolve their lives around sports, granted they'll never actually make a living out of playing them.
Smoking cannabis is a great pastime and I encourage it. It's a bloody plant, and damn is it tasty! I love the appearance of weed. The smell. The texture. Fuck me, it's good.
