Many many times, I've been wanting to give up on the guitar, I just feel like I'm not fast enough, I'm only as good as guitar hero on expert, I'm too slow, I can't remember the fretboard at all for notes, I read so much on music theory and key signatures and chord progression and construction and I can remember a few scales based on patterns but I'm really not getting anywhere at all... I thought maybe if I had a teacher, but I rather not, saving that for books and I just use lessons and everything google and youtube can tell me when I type in guitar lessons. Let's see if this changes in the new year...
Dude you've got to remember that speed isn't everything. Okay we all love to shred and all but a really good, slow, melodic solo can sound just as good... if not better.
Remember man, the main thing is to have fun!!!
It takes patience and practice to be able to solo, i remember trying to get chord shifts fast enough, man, hard days, But the rewards are there to reap if you stick at it.
Dont give it up, Dont let us down.
