TheReverend724 wrote on Feb 25th, 2013 6:00pmSo I'm finally getting around to checking out your Brahms' analysis (I've been so busy the last two months have been a blur lol).
Also, I just finished up my analysis of Beethoven's 9th, and now I'm starting on Berlioz' Symphonie Fantastique and I'm so excited! haha quote |

crazysam23_Atax wrote on Dec 29th, 2012 6:09pmSo, you're a big fan of Bach, irrc. I don't suppose you could point me to a few examples of contrapuntal inversions? Hopefully I can look them up on the free sheet music site I found.
Also, do you know of a user named Hail? The little prick flamed me for asking about contrapuntal inversions in MT. quote |

awesome. i'm really just scratching the surface with his material, but wow is it some really fantastic stuff
currently i'm working on an analysis of Beethoven's 8th, which is pretty crazy for me. next semester we start with the 9th (which even just looking at the score makes me tremble, shit is so gargantuan), and then move onto Brahms, Wagner, and Mahler, along with a few others I can't recall at the moment. We just finished working through Mozart's Piano Concerti and Haydn's Symphonies 99-104.

Thank you for the response.

I've heard Chopin, but I'm not quite sure. Surely your hatred for him would allow you to notice when his dire music is being played. Link is enclosed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3t07yNPlvXI

descara wrote on Oct 21st, 2012 12:10pmHey, I just wanted to ask you if you've got any experience with the VSL special editions? They're for once running a student discount so I was thinking of buying SE volume one (the one with all common instruments, basic articulations). Is it well worth its money?
this is the one in question: http://www.vsl.co.at/en/211/261/2064/2067/1751.htm quote |
