Are Galvestons actually any good? They seem too cheap to be of any real value.
It's actually quite nice. The action is very low, and it is adjustable contrary to what I have read in the past. It is only adjustable at the two end points though, not each string.
The sound is pretty good, nothing spectacular, but a pretty typical upper middle price range active bass sound.
The string spacing is very narrow. I like that - others have said it's difficult to play on.
Fret access to the 24th is very meh - it's possible but not comfortable. Reaching the 26th fret nearly requires a thumb position-esque technique as seen by upright bass players.
It's pretty bland looking... especially the neck heel, it looks really dumb. Overall everything works great, I really like it a lot.
