I'm a songwriter first and foremost. I play guitar pretty well, I'm solid on piano, I can do it for you on drums and bass, and if you give me like five minutes I can re-learn ukulele. My friend tells me he'll give me a banjo as payment for teaching him guitar. Sweet deal.
I focus more on arrangement and composition when it comes to music than what techniques I can pull or "hOw FaSt I cAn ShReD bRo". I value musicianship and playing with emotion and phrasing more than sweeping/tapping/"virtuoso"-ing. That means you too, jazz cats.
I'm actually a really big fan of worship artists and I'm trying to get better at the genre because I find the music more fulfilling lyrically and spiritually than most of the "let's go party, let's get laid" stuff that's become so commonplace. To clarify, I don't judge you if that's your thing; do what you gotta do with your time, man. It's just what I prefer personally.
