Getting a new guitar

Hey there, my first blog.  Don't know what the hell this is, but I figure this will be a good way to keep notes on which guitar I'd like.

Okay, here goes:

Acoustic/Electric Guitars-
  • Epiphone ej-200ce: looks pretty damn good.
  • Alvarez regent series: supposed to be pretty nice
  • Dean Performer: I like dean, and these guitars are cheap
Electric-
  • Epiphone Dot: love the way it looks, but I dunno...
  • Epi Les Paul: I like them, but everyone has one
  • Ibanez: Dunno which one, but from what I've seen, Ibanez guitars are pretty damn sweet.
  • Standard Stratocaster HSS: I've heards lots of bad stuff about strats, but I really like this one. Fat Strat.

So, does anyone have any suggestions as to which one I should get?  I'm leaning more towards the Fat Strat, because I kinda like a blusey sound.

Anyway, whatever.

um, so u bluesy eh? i say go with the fender h/s/s pickup w/ whammy bar (for hendrix) and get a cheap practice amp, and buy a blues master distortion pedal. idk how much the pedal is but it rocks. keep playing on the neck pickup for that really fat sound. you can also do what i do; take ur pickup slector and keep changing up and down for 5 minutes a day for a week. it keeps it nice and steady moving if u have to switch during a gig. be careful though. dont go ape on it switching

Yeah. I've found a cheaper guitar (AXL Badwater) that has got some good reviews. I'm hopefully going to play one this weekend. It looks like a fat strat, has EMG pickups, a thin neck, and is only $200. If figure it'll be either the HSS or Badwater at this point.
