haha. he does love his cymbals. I think he wants to buy a Ride and a China...I don't know what that means...but if it sounds cool, i'm all for it!

...you wouldn't happen to also be black, would you? :p:

Haha, cool. yeah, i'm really lucky to have found him as a drummer, he's exactly what i was looking for. Does more than just keep the beat, ya know? Really pushes along the song.
...do you also happen to arrange your drumset mirrored around, for a left handed person...?

forsaknazrael wrote on Mar 9th, 2008 2:12pm

oh yeah. his ability to drum while eating a burrito is uncanny.

what did ya think of the other song?

forsaknazrael wrote on Mar 9th, 2008 12:45pm

haha, maybe more solos. dunno where'd they'd fit in. but yeah, an original.

and yeah, being in the kitchen is very distrcting for my drummer. he's right next to the fridge...

recordings up! not as good quality as yours...

mattyp90 wrote on Mar 6th, 2008 6:08pm

that was great. did you upgrade your recording setup? sounds much better

Nah, it's the same equipment, but you know how I was complaining about Audacity ruining the song? It was only mixing down the left side panning to mp3, meaning all the right panned parts were too quiet, and the left side too loud. And also the tracks going outrageously out of sync.
Well for no apparent reason, that was all fine today, it was just slightly out of sync, and the panning was fine, meaning I could just get on with it.
Thanks for the comment, I'm really pleased with it, just a couple of sloppy lead mistakes that I couldn't be bothered to fix;).

hey bro, thanks for the comment on the tune. I redid, but may have went a little overboard on the aggression, lol. Great clips you have up man

OMG man thanks so much for the settings, i will spend more time rocking than tweaking lol. thanks a lot. and yeah im no noob, i listen to advice. i think im gonna get an avatar 2x12 instead of a vader cuz its actually more oversized o.0. which is shocking lol. and i dont need the excessive wattage the vader gives on a 85 watt head.

but what do you think? do you think that extra wattage will do anything to my tone except breakup in the higher ear bleeding volumes which i may never reach?

hey man, im the guy who has been pestering the boards with amp questions and opinions etc. you have been one to help me a lot already and dont think its gone un-noticed. im very grateful for your contributions to my decision so far.

but i need a favor. give me some basic settings for the following sounds (basically what you did for your demo recordings).

clean
bluesy
classic rock
early metal
thrash/metallica-ish
and the most brutal setting you have come across. with these settings, i can adjust from there and find what i like. good luck with your endeavors!!

no problemo. if you go on hendriko profile, you can snag a copy of a Lenny Kravitz greatest hits album. if you want it. :p:

I wouldnt sell any of them, i'd just have a wall of suspicious japanese guitars. :p:

I got into em a few months ago, theyre really are awesome. I really liked The Con though still. But So Jealous and If It Was You are pretty damn awesome. I didn't know anything about the producing tbh..? Explain maybe?

Right now I just have one in the neck.

I have an 89/81. I'm thinking about putting another 89 in it. I love that pickup. Gives a strat tone when coil split.

beckyjc wrote on Feb 6th, 2008 3:41pm

It's still one hell of a tele, much better than the standard.

I'd love to go to japan, only thing is the cost of the flight/staying there would probably buy us 10 jap teles over here imported. :p:

Didn't know you were into tegan & sara. Nice one. :p:

Hey man, what EMG set are you running in that SG?

quote

beckyjc wrote on Feb 5th, 2008 3:11pm

Nah a middle priced MIM one. Prolly a classic 50s or light ash.

No to standard though. =( And when did this happen? Stupid fender and there problem with fender japan. Just because they make better guitars.

They still sell all the Jap Jazz's/Jag's and one of the teles.

beckyjc wrote on Feb 3rd, 2008 1:01pm

blargh have you been dead for a while, i'd kill for a tele. Just not a USA one. :p:
