yeah, the drums still have the factory heads, for sure, since they got beat to shit with that single layer of coating. there was a huge crater in the snare drum after a 4 hour practice. it's positioned behind the couch, but i don't think'll make that big of a difference...but i dunno. they seem to be the same size as my drummer's, since they're both PDP sets. I think that's the brand. Oh well, it's not a big deal, and to be honest, more of a godsend than anything. it's always nice not to turn up an uber amount.

Ahh, thanks for the comment, Jon, I really appreciate it. Yeah, I don't know--I get all worked up when I don't play as well as I think I should be able to, and I usually forget the "fun-ness" that comes with playing the guitar. I NEED TO LIGHTEN UP.

switching the solos? Nah, I wish. I don't know that song as well as he does. I just double up on the chorus riff, as far as leads go in there. otherwise, i'm all rhythm. I'll let me drummer know. Not sure how it is now, just that he beats on the hi hat like it was a ride, haha.

yeah. his hours got severely cut at his work, so he's got no extra spending money right now. he's applied to a bunch of different places, so hopefully he'll have some extra dough to spend soon.

Hm...good to know about the cymbals. Sounds like a good addition to his set, since he uses the hi-hat a lot to keep time. we need to get him some nice new double braced stands, first. His crash's stand is being held together by duct tape...
