I have been playing guitar for just over a year now and I am in the middle of writing a few songs... Does anybody have any tips? Perhaps ones that could help me with the chorus of a song? (thats he part I'm always stuck on :()

Here's a personal tip, one I use all the time. If your playing major cords, let's say Am, C, and G, for your verse...try playing the power cord variation for your chorus. It will fit together great, but will have a different tonal flavor distinguishing the shift.
