Heres a quick tip
DO NOT
BUY
THE
SCHECTER HELLRAISER TEMPEST
I am about to send it back for the SECOND time now.
right after I got it out of the box the first time I was SO excited, started playing for a few hours, then guess what happens?
THE BRIDGE PICKUP GOES OUT
completely stops working, not a battery problem, not a wiring problem, we checked everything, so we sent it back in return for a new one, I got my brand new one in the mail today I was excited to get one that worked,
and guess what? It did the SAME thing!
I'm just about to straight up get my money back and throw this worthless guitar back at them. |
Oh really? That's the first time I've heard of someone having trouble with a Schecter.
I was deciding between the Tempest and the C-1 model without the Floyd Rose, and I've chosen the C-1 over the Tempest. If I get a chance to play it today I will, that's the last thing to do before I decide.
Thanks for the heads up though. Appreciate it.

u-legend wrote on May 10th, 2008 2:19pmCul,"race for a cure" sounds like tons of fun. Ya,even though i don't get persicuted for being a atheist,in my country the situation is reversed. Even though the majority of people have respect for christians,i have been sworn, mocked at in front of people and last week i almost got into a fight with 3 coloured guys trying to pick on one of my christian girlfriends. I supposed because your not "normal" there is always gona be those in the majority that don't respect you.Even though for you you feel alone in this world, oppositly my faith, through it's persicution makes me feel as though i belong.Chearz, gota start studying(got exams in 2 weeks). quote |
u-legend wrote on May 10th, 2008 1:01pmThis action was very naive,my bible says that not all paths lead to god and i don't belive that sniffing a mountain dew can is going to get you any closer to having a relationship with god, infact (this is my blunt personal belief) i belive that people who take LSD and claim it's gives you a "religious" feeling have little understanding about the character of god or are bascially choosing to violate it. quote |
u-legend wrote on May 10th, 2008 1:01pmwhen you get a chance can you send me the verse referance and the bible translation you used if you can find or remember it. Here is where we differ, I belive god does not create evil, but creates creations with the potential to do evil. A god that creates evil is(as the bible protrays it) the devil. If god created evil then your belief makes sense to me also and to be honest i would probably become a atheist if god went against his own character. Where did you find the "science of it all",if it's from the internet, then there's thousands of sites which are gona tell you that, but to oppose these are also really good christian scientific sites. The fact that you were prepared to try LSD because it gave you a heavnly fealing shows me that you were incredably passoinate(my spelling sucks when it comes to thes words)about the whole idea of following god even if you where agnostic and angry at god. quote |
u-legend wrote on May 10th, 2008 12:35pmfirstly i wanted to say i'm sorry to hear about your mom passing, though i have no idea what it would be like having the experiance, though a very close friend of mine drowned in a rip-current near to a beach where i live. I don't respect parents who shelter there kids from decisions and clearly they did a gud job of that when they were raising you.
People sure as hell don't measure-up to the kinda standards that god places on them. Last year i had to help my one friend who is now christian with the fact that he had slept with some other girl in the school and teaching him for my experiances wether they did something like "lying" or like in his case "sleeping around" before marrige,we all stuff up. So (based on the christian belief) if your mom had a relationship with god no matter what she did she is going to get into heaven, but i don't blame you for doing the research. quote |

Thanks for being a more respectful and intelligible person and not attacking my belief, were the questions just based on curiousity? some form of survey orr...?
anyways heres the link

The questions were based like that because i belive Jesus would have handled a person like that:with care, integraty and downright respect for their religion. It is the way in which i want to live my life. I also know that people make choices for reasons and i've unfortunatally met too many atheist who are just like "f**k god!" but have no other reasoning behind the fact that they became a atheist besides the fact that they didn't want the restrictions. Because of that I gained alot of respect for you after your comments and reading the blog which i'm analysing now.

u-legend wrote on May 9th, 2008 4:35pmOh and by the way if the christian god exists then the only people who have a relationship with him will go to heaven, the enterance into heaven is based on faith and not through works,i.e)if you say your christian but actually think the bible is the most illogical book ever written then your not going to get into heaven. quote |

Hey,um,belive it or not i actually respect that alot more because your following your heart, even if that gets you persicuted your being honest to your own feelings which is more than i can say for alot of christians i know,so please don't feel you have to apoligise because your a atheist. Originally i asked the questions because i cared about your opion,so yeah that would be great if you could send me your article and if you would like to know my story of how i became a christian i'll forward you that also. Hopefully by the end of reading your article i'll be able to understand a bit more about you and why you think the idea of a god is illogical. Oviously to me my belief makes logical sense in all respects.

u-legend wrote on May 8th, 2008 10:28pmThat statement about judging is refering to judging someone with the purpose of tuning them, but it doesn't mean we don't judge people,i do this all the time to form opinions about people(i mean you have to do this otherwise how do you know what is right or wrong?). Well how you see yourself is gona determine the way you act and treat other people, christians could choose their own way of valuing their lives but beliving the fact that god died and gave his life for us allows to treat ourselves and other people in the most beneficial way which is with unconditional love,we trust that this way is better for us. quote |
u-legend wrote on May 8th, 2008 10:26pmOk,fair enough, when i asked the questions i knew you would have probably dealt with alot of them already.
"even christians aren't allowed to determine their own worth, God is the only one allowed to judge, isn't that your belief?"
No,alot of atheists see christianity as a buch of restrictions that some sort of cruel god puts on our lives so that we can't enjoy them. Just so we are on the same page here, the god that i belive in never said"You must choose this path",he gave us free choice,i accepted christianity along time ago because i fealt/belive that the life that god offered me is a better life than the one that i could make myself. So yeh christians do live to live, but who we live for is very different,in the bible it says god came to offer us "abundant life". quote |
u-legend wrote on May 8th, 2008 9:33pmsoz jst to clarify the last question,i was meant to ask:
How do you think human beings got here? quote |
u-legend wrote on May 8th, 2008 9:32pmHey,jst so u no my name's paul and i'm a 17yr old christian guy from CT South africa,i'm not gona try and convert so you can relax,i just wanted to know what your beliefs are when it comes to these questions:
1)where are you going when you die?
2)what purpose are you living for,do you have one?
3)who determines what your worth, does this change the way you act and see yourself
4)How did you get here, like how did you arive on earth? quote |
