Favorite books :
My two favorite on the planet...The Stand and House Of Leaves. I dig anything by Stephen King. Grisham is a hit/miss with me. I've recently finished World War Z, I Am Legend, Digital Fortress, Dermaphoria, The Killer Angels, and The Sky Unwashed. Soon to start The Road and I'm passing the time with King's Nightmares and Dreamscapes.
Favorite tv :
Just about anything on the Discovery Channel, Jericho (one of the best shows ever), Weeds, Heroes, Friday Night Lights, Mama's Family reruns, 24, South Park, King of the Hill, Simpsons and Family Guy.
Favorite movies :
There are far too many to list here, but off the top of my head...11:14, Finder's Fee, Stolen Summer, The Departed, Transformers (this movie single handedly restored my faith in action movies), Mulholland Drive, and 28 Days Later (I'm leaving out a friggin' ton of good movies...I'll get back to you).
I'm bored and I miss working on guitars. I'm attempting to get into the pedal building business to solve this. If you want an overdrive pedal on the cheap, let me know. I worked through high school as a guitar tech and I built rigs for a lot of people. This mainly consisted of helping them with their connections, troubleshooting minor gear issues (guitar wiring, pedal problems, noise, etc). I also have a great ear and I am able to help many guitarists dial in their tones.
