Favorite bands :
Thrice is my favorite band.
I also like Steve Vai, Muse, Rush, Radiohead, Coldplay, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Revis, Oleander, Sixx: A.M., The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Relient K, Chevelle, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, and about a thousand other bands that take up space on my iPod. I try to give antyhing a chance, and I think that every genre has decent music in it, if you look hard enough for it. I love Jazz, and contemporary classical can get pretty sweet. So can all other types of classical. Not all classical is good, though...
Favorite guitarists :
Steve Vai. I truly think he is the greatest the world has ever seen. As of yet. I like EVH, but I don't worship him. No doubt he's incredible, though. Herman Li is fun to watch, even if he does get boring... Teppei Teranishi, of Thrice, Ritchie Sambora, of Bon Jovi, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, Paul Gilbert, Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson, Son House, Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christian, etc, etc...
Favorite bassists :
Billy Sheehan! Geddy Lee, Jaco Pastorius, Eddie Breckenridge, Flea, Les Claypool... I don't really pay a lot of attention to bass.
Favorite books :
Huge C.S. Lewis fan. Ted Dekker writes some good stuff... I don't read all that much. I'd like to, I just don't. Lord of the Flies was brilliant, and I love To Kill a Mockingbird. I have also read The Series of Unfortunate Events, and thoroughly enjoyed them. They are quite funny.
Favorite tv :
24, Boy Meets World (nostalgic...), CSI (any of them... though NY is my favorite, due to Gary Sinise), The Office, Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis)... I don't really watch too much TV, actually. College allows little time for it.
Favorite movies :
Oh so many. I think my favorite would have to be The Prestige. Possibly...
I am a big fan of M. Night Shyamalan, and am always able to take something away from his films. Hitchcock was a genius. Lars and the Real Girl, Mission: Impossible, Dances with Wolves, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Sweeney Todd, Pirates of the Carribean (only the FIRST movie...), The Breakfast Club, Bella, Fun with Dick and Jane, Hot Rod (funniest movie I have ever seen!), The Illusionist, Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon, Hearts In Atlantis, The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, and an abundance of others... I like movies.
