The important thing for a good clean channel sound is pretty much volume. The master has to be about 5-8 for the best thickness and warmth. I set my volume to 3-5 (I control volume with the volume rather than master, you lose less warmth that way).
Mids at about 5, nice and even.
Treble 4-6.
Bass at about 6.
I always set everything to about 5, then play with it for a slight improvement. You might want to look into retubing it too, the stock tubes aren't the greatest sounding. |
I might look into re tubing it, But I can't tell for sure. I'm trying to trade my old gear in for a mexican Strat. and then get new pickups on it. If it's still kinda muddy then I shall Re-tube it for sure. And the amp is self biasing so I can just pop them in and play. Any suggestions about the tubes? I currently have stock ones in them

I should have gone to Uni, but I didn't have some of the pre-requisites for the program, so I went here instead. Unfortunately, this course is pretty fucking tough. quote |
