As you know my previous blog, i have been guitar-less for about a month. I finally got my guitars back, and i must say it was the strangest feeling EVER. It just felt so different, the strings seemed so thin and the neck seemed so weird and it was a completely different experience. I was expecting about one week of 'getting re-familiarized' but insanely, after one month of not playing, i was even BETTER than ever before. My sweeps were perfectly clean, my speed was at an all time high, i was pulling off amazing solos, shocking isnt it? Its really very ironic, i was expecting to suck ass after that month, but it actually improved my technique in the craziest technique of ways. Although being better didnt help my poor fingers, needless to say it hurt a lot for the first few days after getting it back.
Well i recently moved to michigan and pretty much everything i had had to be shipped over, which takes roughly 1 month if your lucky. So far its been about 3 weeks and and i have not played guitar at all and i can actually feel my fingers rotting, its all very sad. At the moment my guitars are at New York harbour and after inspection are gonna be driven to Detroit in some sort of truck, god knows how long thats gonna take. So basically what im trying to say is that, consider yourselfs lucky that you have ANYTHING to play on, im stuck with nothing and i used to play a good 5 hours a day, and it feels like crap.
