I like almost everything I read, but particularly: The Inheritance Cycle, The Bartimaeus Trilogy, the Pendragon Series, and lots others.
Favorite tv :
House, Burn Notice, Warehouse 13, Mental, Fringe, Knight Rider, Heroes, Sliders, Quantum Leap... I don't usually watch much TV.
Favorite movies :
10,000 BC, Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen, Apocalypta, 10.5 and 10.5 Apocalypse, 12 Monkeys, Iron Man, The (New) Incredible Hulk, The Day After Tomorrow... and pretty much any other apocalyptic movies.
I am Dan, and I LOVE GUITAR! I've been playing this amazing creator of sound for a around 6.5 years now, and it kicks ass. I'm entirely self taught, and I think I'm pretty good... I am also learning the HTML, CSS, and XML web development languages, and the C# program development language. When I am not playing my guitar I usually am at football practice or school... Oh, and sleeping. Rock on everybody!
In Flames, Bullet for my Valentine, Epica, and The Devil Wears Prada are my favorite bands - they are awesome. As I Lay Dying, Disturbed, Children of Bodom, All that Remains, and Five Finger Death Punch are all pretty damn close behind, but those three win in my opinion.
I mainly listen to Metalcore (you know, hardcore metal with the bad-ass breakdowns) but I like everything from Green Day to Beethoven to Buckcherry to 50 Cent, except for hip-hop, pop, R+B and dance. I can't stand those genres...
I despise everyone who refer to metalcore, death metal, and that stuff as "Emo Metal". That is not true. Most bands in the genres that people refer to as emo bands are emotional, but that doesn't make them "emo" like, "Oh, I'm going to go to this corner and cut myself because I am depressed." They sing emotional music; like music that has meaning. I fail to see how that's "emo"...
My 2 cents.
I am very strongly Atheist. I think that religion is a big joke. Especially the part about there being a God (or Gods). It disgusts me when I hear/see people soooo devoted to their religion. Don't get me wrong though, I respect religious people, just not religion itself. And it sucks for me , because a bunch of really excellent bands are Christian.
I have ADHD. It sucks. I know. I have almost entirely gotten over it, but it surprises me sometimes...
