I started playing in September 2005, found a teacher and began taking lessons. Back in those days I simply had a spontaneous idea - why not try some guitar lessons, maybe I'm going to like it! I didn't know if it would take me anywhere - just to take a try. Well... I tried and went on learning more and I liked it actually ... especially when it came to blues. Then a yar passed and I switced from nylon to metal. If I wasn't so short of cash, I wouldn't have sold my nylon classical guitar as I would find it useful today. But back in 2006 I spent my first real salary to buy the black Kirkland. Yeah, that's my baby - i've written most of my songs on it. I learned my first blues licks on it and I played it in my first public performances.
Spent 2006 through 2007 learning blues and jazz standards, but it wasn't yet the serious playing. In March 3rd 2008 I finally bought what I had been dreaming of - the Les Paul. Actually, I wanted a white one just like U2's Edge but they didn't have such... as they had become very popular that moment, I got the last one in the shop - yeah, yeah... Latvian shops are not very big if we speak about musical instruments. But it doesn't matter, because I love my LP girl... She was with me when I joined my band, played the first real gig and recorded the first songs... And I wouldn's sell it at all...
Which famous guitarist are you?
Your Result: David Gilmour
You play from the heart. You also deliver a great show anytime. You have skill, but you really don't like to show off. You let the music come in second to the visuals of the show. You prefer to play with people who know what they are doing.
