usually the parades start a month ish before the actual day and there will be a good one once during the week and once or twice onthe weekends, building up in size and intensity till the final day. basic parades are just everyone getting fucked up, evveryone you see is drinking, you meet all your friends and basically every kid from everyschool every grade is there. last year we brought a funnel and a case of cheap beer and charged freshman 5 dollars for a beer to funnel. but cops can be assholes. they stopped my friend (they ride around on horses, the streets are paacked) and made him empty my bag. he had my 5th of 151 in it and my bag of weed. the cop made him pour out the bacardi and was looking at the weed, less than a g, and got called by another cop and just dropped it on the ground and left. so win lose?
