metacarpi wrote on Jun 19th, 2008 4:45pmYeah, I caught 'em a few times, but the very first time I saw them sticks in my mind the most.
I remember I had a choice between seeing them and Machine Head (crappy lack of money!) and plumped for Machine Head on the basis that is was easier for me to get to.
Next week, SikTh were announced as the support act! that was a good 3 years ago though I'd guess.
It's a shame you missed out on them man, they were an incredibly tight live band. It's amazing how they could pull such technically difficult material off live, but they managed it. Like the Dillinger Escape Plan, they're a pretty awesome band too! quote |
metacarpi wrote on Jun 19th, 2008 4:38amAh, the Skies Of Milleniuim Night, awesome track! quote |
metacarpi wrote on Jun 18th, 2008 3:31amYeah, after she didn't get it for me I was all "GTFO n00b!" :
Well worth picking up TTADADOWFSW if you get the chance, and look up some videos on Youtube (there aren't so many any more, but the official video for How May I Help You is still there, and Bland Street Bloom. There used to be one for a track called Suffice from the How May I Help You EP, but that appears to have vanished) quote |
metacarpi wrote on Jun 16th, 2008 5:08amTTADADOWFSW isn't as technically complex sounding, but the songs are better IMO.
That's not to say the songs aren't complex though!
As far as I know, Mikee's doing something called Sad Season. Justin's been doing stuff with This Is Menace as a vocalist, and I think both him and Pin have been doing some production work for new bands.
That's about all I know.
An ex of mine used to live in the same area as the guys from SikTh, but despite a year of me begging, she never got me their autographs....
I did once meet Mikee before a show though, and he seemed a cool guy. quote |
metacarpi wrote on Jun 15th, 2008 8:49amI know. I knew they probably wouldn't carry on after Justin and Mikee left.

Such The Fool, How May I Help You, and Sanguine Seas Of Bigotry are probably my fave tracks, how abot you? quote |
