I noticed some discussion on my threads on UG, and it basically said "His threads suck and they still get a ton of replies." Well, here's why. First, why do I make threads: I log on to UG, and none of the discussions particularly interest me. So I make one that does. End of story. Now, why do they tend to often exceed 100 replies or more? Because I usually consider these things: - The thread promotes discussion and banter between users. - The thread is about a topic users would actually be interested in. - I also make sure my OP doesn't have any typos or unintended sexual innuendo for the thread to get derailed. - Sometimes I make a thread where UGers can talk about their feels. I had one that was really successful where we shared stories of times we made dumbasses of ourselves with girls we like. Basically after considering that stuff, I make the thread. Sometimes I make threads that have nothing to do with any of that, and usually I'm making it for a personal reason and it doesn't exceed more than a few replies.
