A while ago I heard a podcast about guitar solos, it was a Olallo Ruibio's podcast. Have you ever heard him? That guy makes such a nice podcasts, in spanish. If you speak spanish you've to listen to his podcasts!
As you know, mi favorite band ever is RHCP (remember! that doesn't mean "Recursos Humanos y Capacitación de Personal"!). In that podcast, the number 22 from the first season, he talks about many solos, included the Scar Tissue's solo. I like the way the podcaster introduce this beatiful song. In order to keep the sense of the text, I'll leave it as is, in spanish. I you don't understand, well, you can take a little spanish classes, hehe.

Ok, this will be the Pink Blog, haha, no, it won't, I'm just kidding.
"Hey, Caleb, why you are saying sweep picking it not as complicated as it seems?"
Well, that is thank UG, because a while ago I read a UG lesson about sweep picking (haha, I remeber a time ago I used to call it sweet picking, hehe), and that lesson said that if you can do a CHORD, then you're not far to do SWEEP PICKING! "What are you talking about?"...That's because basically both have the same technique, and that's true! Of course, with a few changes.
But, here comes the but, the hard thing is, well, for me, to practice. If I want to master the Sweep Picking Technique y have to practice, and practice a lot, and practice a lot again and again. Easy, huh?
To all of those who haven't try the sweep picking yet, try it! why not? You've nothing to lose; instead that, you'll be proud of yourself when you can do it easily! like a pro! ...actualy, you will be a pro (if you aren't yet)!
To my four readers:
Okay, first: why 'The Blue Blog'?
Haha, it's 'cause in this blog I'll use blue typing, like you can see. What a stupid thing, right?
Well, this blog will be something diferent. All my last blogs have been entirely related to guitar and music. Why don't do something new? (ok, this could be not new, it will be new for me, so I'll blog it, hehe).
WARNING: THE CONTENT OF THIS BLOG MAY BE NOT ACCEPTED FOR ALL THE AUDIENCES AND PERSONS. ALSO THIS SHOULD OFFEND SOMEONES. BE CAREFUL AND DO CAUTION AT THE TIME OF READING
Let's get started. This blog is not related to the blue color. And this is not my favorite. My favorite is red, but it's very annoying read an article in red typing. You know what? let's do it like a movie trailer:
Please, use you imgination! otherwise this won't work!
Some people have asked me that full-of-excitement question, because, when somebody ask you that, you remeber that unique tune, and, again, enjoy it. Well, my favorite rock band ever is Red Hot Chili Peppers [*], but that don't means my favorite song is a RCHP's song. I guess I have no favorite song, I mean, there are many songs I like! And they come by the time I listen to them. For example, is somebody ask to me right now wich one is my favorite tune, I'd say: Sweet Child O' Mine, by Gun's N Roses. Maybe you were wondering: if your favorite song is from Gun's N Roses, why didn't you put them in your Favorite Bands list? (you'll wonder this if you read the last blog, hehe). Then, I'll answer: Is not that I like very much that band (actualy is a very great), but that song is the last new song I heard, and that's why NOW is my favorite song. It's probable you'll agree with me in this topic. All of us determine our favorite song at the time we're listening to them. Maybe tomorrow you will have a new best song.
That's why that legendary question must be reedited for this one:
I remember the day I bought my guitar as if it were the last sunday... actually it was the last sunday! Well, I remember I went to the guitar store, here in my hometown Tijuana, to Guitar Market in Siglo XXI (if you live in or know Tijuana, you know what am I talking about). I was looking for a 24-fret, medium quality/price guitar, so I found a Ibanez one. It looked very beautiful, and still!, only better with a few enhancements I made it, haha, only stickers that I put on it. So I bougt it. It's my first real-guitar, I guess; I used to have another guitar, but its quality was very poor, that's why I swapped for a RCHP's DVD, hehe. Like reads an old saying: "No hay mal que por bien no venga" ('there's no bad thing that doesn't come for well', or something like that).
Okay, the issue is that I'm so exciting for have a new good guitar! and blah, blah, blah... but (here comes the 'but') I... really... want (and most important: need!)... a new... good... and powerful... amplifier!!!... All right! I already have one! Yeah! That's true! But that's not an amplifier! That's a piece of junk with cables and a bad speaker that cost me about $90.00 dollars! Ok, I was stupid, and the seller a ... let's say, a bad person who stole me with no scruples (oh my God, I'm gonna cry! haha, just kidding!) That's why, for all the things saids, i need a good new amplifier!
Bye for now, and thanks in advance for read this, haha.
