thanks it helped. As I continued to research, i realized the same thing you found out about the speakers. I started to realize i may not get the same speaker quality out a bigger one and end up making the sound worse, so i abandoned the project completely after hearing your experiences. Would not have been a cheap project at all hehe

It was connected via a jack I hooked up to the speaker wires inside the 'head' and then used an old cable i butchered to hook the two together.
The speaker added alot of volume compared to the old one, but it had terrible bass, and broke up far too easily on clean.
I recently disbanded the project also, because of transportability issues.
