1. I love Ibanez in general, their guitars are good quality and I love the shape.
2. Its got the sweetest neck I've EVER seen, those natural tree pics are awesome and even count as fret indicators up to 12.
3. It has a whammy bar, and I need whammy bars, they are just awesome.
4. Its got sweet pickups, Ive tried one at a shop before and it sounded absolutely amazing, and that was marshal, lets see how it is on a line6
5. Its got a handle! The only guitar in the world (jem) that has a handle to my knowledge (please dont spoil my philosophy by saying there are others :'(
Yeh! I am teaching some guy guitar and I may find a job at a club for a while to help pay for it, it will be AWESOME!
Should I keep my Ibanez SA260 FM or not? Ill probably sell it but I want to see your reasons.
Yeh try a fender, Ibanez are too heavy and tinny most the time. All the best (world renound) guitarists use fenders or gibsons with the few exceptions. Look at Clapton, Knophler, Gilmoore, Brian May, JIMMY PAGE!
Tim, you've played 1 ibanez. How can you generalize all ibanez sounds as heavy and tinny?
Firstly OH MY GOD tim, do you know what you are talking about? TINNY? ARE YOU STUPID!? Look up Neil Zazza and steve vai. Tinny? Heavy? At all? In the slightest? Ahem, no, not at all. Not a bit, not a teeny tiny bit.
But yes, on the back pickup, most ibanez can create a really nice metal sound giving the guitar both class and crunch.
i hate to disagree with someone i dont even know, but .Tim. is wrong.
ive played many many Ibanezes, and they all produce a great heavy sound. never tinny. .Tim.'s got it backwards -- to me, Fenders are the ones that produce the tinny, single-coil style sound.
If i were you, i would sell the Ibanez you have to help pay for the Jem. Jems are the god of all shred guitars, and anything should be sacrificed to help buy one. You can probably get at least a $50 bonus on the price of your SA260 because you installed sperzels in it
