There it is, my somewhat properly-ordered list of the top 10 albums of 2007. I was really impressed by Coheed and Alter Bridge, I didn't think they had it in them. The Mars Volta JUST missed 2007, if the new album were 07 it would have been number one. I gave Rise Against a bid just because I like the singer. I'd probably move around some spots on the list, but for now that's it!
So last week, my super-Borat chemistry teacher hands out our quarter grades up to that moment. I had a 33%. Yes, out of 100%. So today she gives us an updated one for the final quarter grade. My friend's 65% went to a 67%. My 33% went to a 67%. I am moses.
(Spoiler: I actually did a lot of makeup work over those few days, made up two tests, one quiz, three homeworks, and two lab reports.)
Ever hear about the whole December 21, 2012 thing? Apparently it's when the Mayan calander comes to a stop. Mayans were somewhat credibly, predicting solar eclipses that occurred hundreds of years later. Also, some weird Chinese guy also predicted the same date as the end of the world. Scary shit. Time to stock up on ramen noodles and bottled water.
I recently got the leaked version of the new TMV album. Pretty good, a lot better than Amputechture. A lot of sweet guitar work and less ambient noise. I got a full review waiting for approval, should be up this week unless UG finds something wrong with it.
My guitar is still in the shop, getting a set of Dimarzio Breeds put in, with a Dimarzio Fast Track 1 in the middle. The shop had to order a new superswitch to wire it properly, PLUS the guy had to route into the body to fit the switch, as well as the larger wire for the middle pickup. I'm a little worried, but i've heard good things about the tech, and he called to tell me everything went fine despite it being tough work.
I should have it back sometime this week, until then i'm playing on my GSA60.
